Both products are designed to provide a permanent water and moisture barrier along the surface to which it is installed. The membrane prevents soil from resting against your foundation wall, redirecting water away from your basement down through the soil to the footing drainage system.

Both products also feature a dimpled surface which create a permanent 6mm drain air-gap barrier which protects the basement interior from the outside soil moisture and still allows moisture originating from the inside the basement to escape via the air gap where it condenses and is ultimately drained via the footing drainage system.
